Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Dikmen Valley 4.-5. Stages Urban Transformation Project Total area of the 4. - 5. Stages, which are last two stages of the Dikmen Valley Urban Transformation Project is 220 ha. There are approximately 2400 squatter houses in the area. This project, which is declared as Urban Transformation Area in 14.01.2005 by Ankara Metropolitan Municipality is an important urban transformation project in respects of organization, planning, investment size and funding method. The project is aiming for turning the site into an attraction center including trade and culture investments together with a recreation area in an urban scale. While implementing this aim, it has been especially provided that rightful owners living in the valley are involved in this project with a participatory method. The negotiations with the rightful owners are continuing in line with the urban transformation project.
